Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant 2025 Successfully Concluded
Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant 2025 Grand Finale was held on November 27 at the River Rock Show Theatre. Celebrating its 31st anniversary, the pageant continues to witness countless young women taking their first steps toward pursuing their dreams on this stage. This year’s theme, “A Nascent Voyage, I’m the Moment,” symbolizes the courage of the eight contestants as they embark on their journeys, radiating their own brilliance and strength while opening a new chapter in the pursuit of their dreams. After three months of intensive and comprehensive training, the contestants showcased their confidence and growth on stage, turning their hard work and dedication into a dazzling display that culminated in a spectacular and captivating finale.
The charismatic hosts, Brian Chiu and Fred Liu, worked seamlessly to energize the audience with humor and precise timing. This year’s judging panel featured an impressive lineup, including veteran TV host and arts academy founder Ms. Nancy Sit, multifaceted performing artist and stage producer Mr. Stephen Au, entrepreneur and philanthropist Mr. Jiping Bai, professional image advisor Ms. Betty Chan, and internationally acclaimed pianist Mr. David Fung. Together, they evaluated the contestants from multiple perspectives to determine the Championship, 1st and 2nd Runners-Up, and various special award winners.


The evening began with the eight contestants stepping onto the stage in stylish white group outfits, performing coordinated and lively choreography that instantly energized the venue. They then transitioned into elegant evening gowns paired with luxurious jewelry, exuding youthful sophistication under the dazzling stage lights. During the swimsuit segment, the contestants showcased confidence and vitality, while their poise and quick thinking during impromptu Q&A sessions with the hosts and special guests further impressed the audience.








Each contestant then introduced herself and presented her talent, transforming the stage into a vibrant and imaginative performing space. No. 2 Joanna Fu highlighted the distinctive charm of each contestant through floral art. No. 3 Sophia Yin drew inspiration from the story of Mulan, blending sword dance and calligraphy into a performance that was both strong and graceful. No. 5 Charlene Bi challenged herself with a dance style she had never attempted before, demonstrating her captivating stage presence. No. 4 Nicole Chan showcased her versatility with three distinct dance styles—Chinese dance, jazz, and lyrical dance. No. 1 Angela Zhou performed a fusion of konghou (Chinese harp) and ribbon dance, emphasizing classical elegance. No. 7 Athena Lee energized the audience with a lively high-heel dance routine. No. 6 Silvana Huang performed one slow and one fast saxophone piece, demonstrating her musical range. No. 8 Tiffany Chan sang Disney princess songs in a musical theater style, highlighting her strong vocal abilities. Each contestant presented her own creativity and artistic identity, making the talent segment both memorable and impressive.








This year’s newly added Catwalk segment further elevated the evening. Internationally renowned fashion designers were invited to create bespoke outfits for each contestant, reflecting their individual personalities and styles. Dressed in these custom designs, the contestants confidently walked the runway with elegance and poise, presenting their unique fashion sensibilities. Under the spotlight, they shone brilliantly, delivering a visual experience reminiscent of a world-class fashion show.

Special Guest Performer Fai Chi Tam, the 1st Runner-Up of “Midlife Sing and Shine 2”, made a highly anticipated return to the Vancouver stage, greeted by enthusiastic cheers. FC has loved music since childhood and once formed a band in high school, though he had never envisioned entering competitions or the entertainment industry. His participation in Midlife Sing and Shine 2 in 2023 became a turning point, ultimately earning him the runner-up title and the Audience Favorite Voice Award. Since then, he has released multiple singles and held successful solo concerts. Recently, he introduced a new song, “Warm Up Before You Collapse,” which promotes stress management and spreads positive energy.
FC opened his performance with “You Are My Exclusive Legend”, followed by “For Your Heart Only”, captivating the audience with his heartfelt delivery. He expressed his excitement at returning to Vancouver, describing the familiar stage as feeling like home, and teased the release of new music. He then performed his debut single “Grateful for You”, interacting closely with the audience, before concluding his set with the upbeat “Go Have Fun Alone”, accompanied by simple choreography that brought the atmosphere to an exhilarating high.





After meticulous deliberation, the panel of esteemed judges has selected the award winners for the competition.

The Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant celebrates its 31st anniversary this year, marking more than three decades of inspiring young women as they embark on their journeys toward brilliance. As the Final approaches, the eight contestants continue their intensive training, striving to take the stage in peak form as they showcase their confidence, talents, and determination. Who will ultimately claim the crown? Audiences will soon find out as we look forward to this glamorous annual celebration.
In addition to the highly anticipated competition segments, the Special Guest Performance is set to be another highlight. This year,Fai Chi Tam, the first runner-up of “Midlife Sing and Shine! 2” has flown in specially to serve as the Guest Performer for the Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant. All eight contestants joined him at the press conference, which was streamed live on Fairchild TV’s YouTube channel, allowing online viewers to connect with FC Tam’s warm and engaging presence.
FC Tam’s love for music began in childhood. He once formed a band with classmates during high school, though he never envisioned entering competitions or stepping into the entertainment industry. Everything changed in 2023 when he participated in “Midlife Sing and Shine! 2”, a defining moment that led him to win the First Runner-up title along with the “Audience’s Favorite Voice” award. Since then, he has released several singles, held his own concert, and most recently launched “Warm Up Before Falling”—a motivational track centered on the theme of overcoming pressure, composed by his mentor Alan Cheung as a gesture of support.
Beyond singing, FC Tam has lent his voice to the theme songs of popular dramas such as “The Legend of the Condor Heroes” and “Joy of Life 2”. In recent years, he has also ventured into acting, earning praise for his performance in “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold”, which led to his nomination for “Best New Actor” at the TVB Anniversary Awards 2024—further cementing his status as a rising multi-talented artist. Earlier this year, he also performed at “TVB Fairchild Fans Party”, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of supporters. Now, returning as the special guest performer for this year’s pageant, he is set to once again captivate audiences with his heartfelt vocals.
At the press conference, MC Mary Lo warmly welcomed FC Tam back to Vancouver, recalling their earlier encounter at “TVB Fairchild Fans Party” and expressing how meaningful it was to see him return as this year’s guest performer. FC Tam shared that this is his first time performing at a beauty pageant, describing the experience as uniquely different from past performances. He expressed his gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity. He also reflected on his recent filming experience for “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold”, noting that the production process was more challenging than he had anticipated—particularly when working alongside many seasoned actors. Nonetheless, he felt deeply appreciative of the cast and crew’s guidance, which contributed significantly to his artistic growth.

Following this segment, the eight contestants took the stage one by one to introduce themselves and display their individual charm including No. 1 Angela Zhou, No. 2 Joanna Fu, No. 3 Sophia Yin, No. 4 Nicole Chan, No. 5 Charlene Bi, No. 6 Silvana Huang, No. 7 Athena Lee, and No. 8 Tiffany Chan. Drawing from his own experience in high-pressure competitions, FC Tam also offered heartfelt encouragement to the contestants, reminding them to treasure every moment on stage and to fully embrace the growth that comes with this remarkable journey. To show appreciation for his visit, Mr. Todd Ye, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Fairchild TV and Talentvision (Western Division), presented FC Tam with a specially framed photo set signed by all eight contestants. The gesture was accompanied by best wishes for his upcoming performance and for a successful Pageant Final.

The MCVP 2025 Press Conference was held recently with veteran host Mary Lo as emcee. The event was streamed live on Fairchild TV’s YouTube channel, allowing global audiences to share in the excitement and witness the grace, intelligence, and youthful energy of this year’s contestants. The eight finalists appeared on stage in elegant all-white attire—symbolizing purity and new beginnings—and gracefully introduced themselves. #1 Angela Zhou, fluent in four languages, may be petite but wins hearts with her love for food and friendly personality. #2 Joanna Fu, the youngest contestant, is pursuing a double major in Biology and Chemistry while working as a lifeguard. Determined and courageous, she dreams of becoming a diplomat. #3 Sophia Yin, originally from Sichuan, is passionate about Chinese culture. Fluent in Cantonese, she is also skilled in dance and calligraphy. #4 Nicole Chan has fulfilled her childhood dreams of becoming both a flight attendant and a pageant contestant. #5 Charlene Bi, a tall and artistic student, describes herself as a blank canvas ready to find her purpose through the MCVP journey. #6 Silvana Huang, though from a science background, has a strong passion for creative arts, striking a balance between logic and emotion. #7 Athena Lee, a fitness coach and early childhood educator, is energetic and fearless, always challenging herself. #8 Tiffany Chan, who underwent major surgery and personal hardships in her childhood, found inspiration in her experiences to study nursing, hoping to spread love and hope to others. The eight contestants are now fully prepared to face the upcoming challenges and shine brilliantly on stage, promising audiences an unforgettable finale filled with elegance, confidence, and inspiration.

In 2023, encouraged by his teacher, he joined “The Voice of the Middle Age 2” as an amateur contestant, capturing hearts with his soulful and emotionally charged vocals. His talent earned him multiple MVP titles, the First Runner-up, and the “Audience's Favourite Voice” award, catapulting him to fame. In 2024, he held his first solo concert, “FC Tam Fight for You Concert”, becoming the first contestant from the show to stage a solo performance. In September of the same year, he released his debut single “How Grateful I Am”, a heartfelt tribute to his wife, followed by his latest release “Warm up before Falling”, and composed by his mentor Clayton Cheung, which delivers a message of gratitude and positivity.

The “Lukfook Jewellery Photo Contest and Exhibition” will take place on November 1 (Saturday) at Aberdeen Centre, where the Champion received an 18K gold diamond necklace worth $800. The winning photos will be publicly exhibited, showcasing the contestants' elegance and charm. From November 14 to 27, audiences can visit the official MCVP website to participate in the “Lukfook Jewellery Miss Photogenic Guessing Game” and the “Beauty Court Who is the Champion Guessing Game” for a chance to win an 18K gold diamond necklace from Lukfook Jewellery or exclusive gifts from Beauty Court.
